MEET LISA

Growing up in the vast prairies of Manitoba, Canada, Lisa Henderson developed a deep appreciation for open space and our relationship to it. She marks her childhood by architectural moments: renovation of her family’s Winnipeg home, which found her “on the other side of the plastic” studying every step of the construction process. Adventures on the creaky secret staircase in her great- grandfather’s Nova Scotia Craftsman and spring break scraping wallpaper in her uncle and aunt’s stately Victorian. Hooked on transformation, she never looked back. After transplanting herself to the wilds of L.A., Lisa experienced the extremes of working with a forensic architect, helping make official the historic Bungalow Heaven district in Pasadena while simultaneously earning her Masters at the avant-garde SCI-Arc. Lisa worked at several boutique studios before joining the L.A. office of world-renowned Gensler. After several years on projects as large as a million square feet, she knew she needed to get back to her roots. As founder/principal of Harvest, Lisa is proud to collaborate with great contractors and subcontractors who share her vision of connecting clients to their homes in an authentic way. Her passion for community extends to arts funding, evidenced by her role as a trustee of the John C. Hench Foundation.

“I design things for how you live,
connecting you and your home in an authentic way.”
